A New Thought

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love. Marcus Aurelius

What is the first thought you wake up with in the morning? Is it one of feeling grateful to be alive and really welcoming another day? Or is it filled with fear and negativity, dreading another day? 

For a moment become aware of how your body responds to either thought. When you realize that your body responds to every thought in a very predictable way, you might also realize the power of your thoughts over your general sense of well-being and health. Stressful, fearful thoughts translate into tiredness, lower energy and possible bodily aches and pains. On the other hand, positive and uplifting thoughts create energy, allow the free flow of energy and help your body to do what it does best - create balance in every moment and heal itself! 

More than only affecting your own health, what you think and believe, translates into certain feelings or emotions which contribute to the kind of energy you radiate into the world. We respond to energy and we respond to each other's energy. I might not know what your particular thoughts are, but I will definitely 'feel your energy' that is a direct result of what you think about yourself, others and the world in general.

Affirmations are wonderful to start bringing positivity into your world. Try a few of these:

The world I live in is filled with peace and calm...
